Book Series Recognitions

Institute of Contemporary History created the Razpoznavanja/Recognitiones [Recognitions] book collection in order to publish contemporary history monographs. In terms of its programme the collection mostly focuses on publishing original Slovenian scientific monographs, but it is also open to other works, which could encourage the publishing of Slovenian historiographic works, for example collective works by several authors or translations of foreign fundamental works in the field of the Institute's research activities to Slovenian.
The first work in this collection was published in 2005, and since then the editorial board has strived to extend the collection with a few new titles each year. The books published in this collection are dealing with the fields of political, economic, social and cultural history. The book collection editorial board selects the works for the publishing programme. Researchers who wish to publish their work in this collection should contact the editor ales.gabric@inz.si.
New releases in the Razpoznavanja/Recognitiones collection are presented at press conferences. Lists and abstracts of works published in the collection can be found at the Institute of Contemporary History website, and the books may be purchased at the Institute of Contemporary History (publications >> e-order form) as well as in bookstores stocking humanities literature.
