CONTRIBUTION BY DR MAJA LUKANC IN THE TV PROGRAMME TEDNIK
On World AIDS Day (2 December), our colleague Dr Maja Lukanc appeared in the Tednik feature Four Decades of Confronting AIDS.
The segment looks back at the time when AIDS was described as the “plague of the 20th century” — a period marked by fear, uncertainty, and stigma — and at the medical progress that has since transformed it into a manageable and successfully treatable disease. This year marks 40 years of the organised response to HIV infections and the 40th anniversary of the AIDS Commission.
