Workshop: History and the Present of People with Sensory Disabilities in the Countries of the Former Yugoslavia
We invite you to participate in the final workshop of the project “Systems of Care and Education for Children with Sensory Disabilities in the First and Second Yugoslav State”, entitled: History and the Present of People with Sensory Disabilities in the Countries of the Former Yugoslavia.
The workshop will take place on 9 September 2026 at the Institute of Contemporary History, Privoz 11, Ljubljana.
We welcome researchers from the fields of the humanities, social sciences, and educational-rehabilitation disciplines, as well as professionals and all interested individuals who engage, either in their work or out of personal interest, with questions related to sensory disability and disability more broadly.
The deadline for submitting topic proposals is 1 June 2026.

The working languages of the workshop will be Slovene, Croatian, and Serbian.
