I am a Researcher & Data Analyst at More in Common and hold a PhD in Social and Political Science from the European University Institute. My research focuses on political behavior, political norms and the dynamics of the radical right in Europe, exploring how its rise is moderated by social ties. I also study the interplay of female political representation, norms, and behaviors, as well as the political integration of immigrants. My methodological approach focuses on quantitative methods and causal inference.

Statement of interest:

INZ is one of the few places where political history and computational work on parliamentary text sit in the same building, and ARENAS and ParlaCAP are what drew me. I work on radical-right politics in Spain, almost entirely through survey experiments and large-n survey data, and I have never touched ParlaMint. I would use the stay to learn the text-as-data methods the Institute applies to parliamentary speech, because what I eventually want to know is whether changes in how parties talk in parliament line up with changes in what voters think, and survey data alone cannot answer that.
