Conference Discovering the Power of Nature: Participatory Environmental Education for Sustainability – Opportunities, Challenges, and Practices
On 27 and 28 November 2025, the Institute of Contemporary History hosted the conference Discovering the Power of Nature: Participatory Environmental Education for Sustainability – Opportunities, Challenges, and Practices, organised by the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education (ACS) as part of the project Strengthening Lifelong Learning (2023–2029).
The INZ also contributed to the organisation, and Dr Žarko Lazarević presented his paper Environmental History Between Past and Present in the session on systems and policies for developing green competences for sustainability.
The conference successfully brought together experts from various fields and opened an important space for discussion on sustainable development and environmental education.
