FINAL CONFERENCE OF THE TEACH XR PROJECT
At the final conference of the TeachXR project – XR as a Competence of the Future, project partners presented the results achieved, exchanged experiences in roundtable discussions, and showcased concrete examples of the use of XR technologies in education in the foyer.
A colleague from the Institute of Contemporary History, Robert Vurušič, presented the project Memorial Exhibition of WWII Victims – Polhov Gradec, which was captured as a digital twin. The exhibition, largely based on data from the SIstory database, enables a virtual walkthrough, exploration of victims’ names and origins, and viewing of photographs – also for those who were unable to visit the exhibition in person.
The conference also featured examples of collaboration with educational institutions, including the 360° experience In the Footsteps of Radio Kričač, which interactively presents the story of an illegal radio station operating during the Second World War.
The conference demonstrated how XR technologies can connect research, education, and the accessibility of cultural heritage.
