INZ HOSTED THE KICK-OFF MEETINGS OF THE ERA SP-CAREERS WORKING GROUPS

On 6 May 2026, the Institute of Contemporary History hosted the second day of the ERA SP-Careers meeting, dedicated to the kick-off meetings of working groups in the field of research careers. The event was held in a hybrid format at INZ, Privoz 11, Ljubljana.

At the beginning of the meeting, participants were welcomed by the Director of the Institute of Contemporary History, Dr Andrej Pančur. The programme continued with meetings of two working groups: the Working Group on the Co-created Guidelines for the Implementation of the Council Recommendation on Research Careers and the Working Group on Recommendations for Better Career Development and Career Progression.

The meeting was dedicated to introducing the participants, discussing the implementation plan, and agreeing on methods for future work. The programme also included a tour of the host institution and time for informal exchange and networking among participants.

By hosting the event, INZ contributed to the broader discussion on improving conditions for research careers, career development, and career progression within the European Research Area.
