Matteo Perissinotto, Visiting Fellowship 2023/24
Biography
Matteo Perissinotto (PhD) is researcher at the University of Trieste at the Project “Italian Cold War Borders. A new Research Framework on Transformation during Détente” “Italian Cold War Borders. A new Research Framework on Transformation during Détente”. He’s the Managing Editor of the Review “Quest. Issues in Contemporary Jewish History. Journal of CDEC Foundation” (http://www.quest-cdecjournal.it/index.php). He’s also scientific collaborator of the Jewish Community Museum in Trieste “Carlo e Vera Wagner”, Fondazione Museo della Shoah in Rome, Centro di Documentazione Ebraica Contemporanea di Milano (CDEC) and the National Monument “Risiera di San Sabba”.
From 2019 to 2022, he was member of the ERC Advanced Grant project EIRENE “Post-war transitions in gendered perspective. The case of the North-Eastern Adriatic region” at the University of Ljubljana (https://project-eirene.eu/).
Visiting Fellowship June 2024
Motivation
During my stay in Ljubljana I will study the documentation kept at the INZ archives and the state archives about the fascist occupation policies of “Provincia di Lubiana” and the Nazi occupation policies of Operationszone Adriatisches Küstenland, with a focus on anti-Jewish persecutory policies.
