Since 2022, he has been a member of the program group Economic, Social, and Environmental History of Slovenia, where he researches environmental issues of the 19th and first half of the 20th century.
Until 2022, he was engaged in researching the political history of Slovenia in the second half of the 19th century.
2016 – Monograph titled Each to Their Own: Towards the Final National Demarcation in Lower Styria in the 19th Century.
Since 2008, he has been employed at the Institute of Contemporary History in Ljubljana.
2008 – Monograph titled The Successes of the Lower Styrian Slovenes in the Taaffe Era.
2007 – Doctoral dissertation titled Economic, Social, Cultural, and Political Conditions in Lower Styria During the Taaffe Government (1879–1893).
2003 and 2007 – ÖAD (Austrian Exchange Service) scholarship recipient at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz.
2003–2007 – Employed as a young researcher at the Faculty of Education, University of Maribor.
2002 – Graduated from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana (Thesis: Slovenes, Slovaks, and the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Peripeteia in the Years 1875–1878).
