Motivation
As a visiting fellow at the Institute of Contemporary History, my goal is to advance the parts of my dissertation dealing with Slovenian political parties’ organizational strategies during the transition (1989-2004). Staying at the Institute will allow me both to access empirical sources not available to me in Vienna, and the expertise of the Institute’s researchers working on Slovenian political history. During my stay, I also hope to review the media archive at the National University Library and conduct interviews with relevant actors. As part of my stay, I will present my initial findings to the Institute’s researchers, and discuss potential future collaborations.
