Symposium on Totalitarianisms at the National Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia
On Tuesday, 14 October 2025, the Knight’s Hall of the National Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia hosted the Symposium on Totalitarianisms, dedicated to exploring cases of totalitarian violence and resistance in Slovenia during the Second World War.
The event brought together researchers examining various aspects of totalitarian regimes, their consequences, and the ways in which people responded to repression and violence.
Representing the Institute of Contemporary History, Dr. Andrej Pančur and Tamara Logar presented their paper “Upgrade of the Database of Second World War Victims: Methodological Foundations, Legal Framework, and Practical Implementation.”
📸 The post features a selection of photos from the symposium, which offered valuable insights into current research on totalitarianisms and historical memory.
