PRESENTATION OF THE VOLUME MEMORIES LIVE ON II
On Monday, 13 April 2026, the presentation of the volume Memories Live On II took place at the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia.
The volume brings together scholarly contributions and personal testimonies that offer insight into the experience of the Second World War from individual perspectives. It focuses on memories of everyday life during the war, feelings of uncertainty, loss, and hardship, as well as different ways of coping and surviving. The personal stories give the volume particular value, enriching historical understanding and highlighting the importance of preserving memory.
At the event, the authors presented the process behind the volume and the key themes of their contributions. The discussion emphasized the role of testimonies as an important historical source and as a bridge between past and present.
The programme was further enriched by storytelling and musical performances, which highlighted the emotional dimension of the topics presented.
