NAUM TRAJANOVSKI – HISTORY ON THE EDGE
On Wednesday, 12 November 2025, the Institute of Contemporary History hosted a new lecture in the series History on the Edge.
The lecture was delivered by Naum Trajanovski, who presented his book The History of Macedonian Sociology: In Search of Identity.
In his talk, he highlighted the key phases in the development of sociology in (North) Macedonia – from pioneering research in the interwar period and post-war educational policy to the institutionalization of sociology in socialist Macedonia, international exchanges, and contemporary sociological debates. The lecture demonstrated how closely the development of sociological themes and practices is intertwined with Macedonian national and political history.
The event, held in English, took place at the ICH premises and via Zoom.
We are sharing a few photo highlights from the event.
