Award Excellent in Science received by Dr. Mojca Šorn and Dr. Dunja Dobaja

In November, the awards Excellent in Science were presented by the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (ARIS) as part of the ARIS Day event.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s recipients include our colleagues Dr Mojca Šorn and Dr Dunja Dobaja.

They received the award for their research contributions to the edited volume Epidemije in zdravstvo. Zgodovinski pregled (Epidemics and Healthcare: A Historical Overview, Založba ZRC, 2024), in which they participated as authors. The volume offers an important new interpretation of epidemics in Slovenian historiography and enriches the field through the lens of the social history of medicine. With innovative research approaches, it opens new pathways for future studies of epidemics and the development of (public) healthcare.
