Going Extreme: History, Narratives and the Threat to Democracies in Europe
Last week, Jure Gašparič and Isidora Grubački from our Institute attended the international conference “Going Extreme: History, Narratives and the Threat to Democracies in Europe”, which took place at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona from 25th to 27th of September 2024.
The conference was organised in the framework of the ARENAS: Analysis and Responses to Extremist Narratives project and included two panel discussions, “Extremist Narratives and Gender” and “Media and Circulation”. The conference was organised by our colleagues from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. It addressed a number of important issues related to the rise of extremist narratives in contemporary Europe, with a particular focus on issues of nation, gender and science.
