PRESENTATION OF THE STENOGRAPHIC MINUTES OF THE FORMER FEDERAL ASSEMBLY OF YUGOSLAVIA IN SLOVENIA
On Wednesday, 6 May 2026, the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia hosted a presentation of the stenographic minutes of the former Federal Assembly of Yugoslavia (1945–1992) in Slovenia.
The event presented the results of several years of work on the digitisation, processing, and preparation of this valuable historical material for research and public use. The material opens up new possibilities for studying the work of the Yugoslav Federal Assembly, as well as broader political, social, and institutional processes in socialist Yugoslavia.
Contributions were presented by Vesna Gotovina, Robert Vurušič, and Jurij Hadalin. Vesna Gotovina presented the stenographic minutes of the former Federal Assembly of Yugoslavia in Slovenia, Robert Vurušič spoke about the process of scanning the material, while Jurij Hadalin highlighted the significance of the stenographic minutes of the former Federal Assembly sessions as a historical source.
The presented material is an important result of cooperation in the preservation, digitisation, and opening up of historical sources that are valuable both for researchers and for the wider public.
The stenographic minutes are available on the SIstory portal: https://www.sistory.si/menu/1/7/397/822
We share some photos of the event in this post.
